We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Community Manager/Leasing Specialist to join our vibrant property management team. Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents warmly, conduct property tours, and showcase community amenities to generate leasing interest.
- Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, including screening applicants, verifying income and references, and preparing lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate data entry within property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite, ensuring all resident information is current and compliant with Fair Housing regulations.
- Handle lease renewals, rent collections, and late payment follow-ups with professionalism and tact.
- Address resident inquiries promptly via phone, email, or in person, providing exceptional customer service and conflict resolution when needed.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and communicate effectively with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Stay informed about legal administrative requirements related to LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, landlord-tenant law, and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance.
Skills
- Proven experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective negotiation and upselling abilities to maximize occupancy rates.
- Ability to manage conflict professionally while maintaining positive resident relationships.
- Experience in legal administrative tasks such as contracts, filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Skilled in office procedures including phone etiquette, filing systems, and general administrative support.
- Knowledge of property maintenance coordination and facilities management practices.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and team members across various channels. Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
