This position is responsible for the delivery of meals to seniors and other eligible participants in their homes.
SCHEDULE
Division: Aging & Nutrition
Days: Varies Monday - Friday (3 days one week, 4 days the other)
Work Hours: 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
Hours Per Shift: 4.5
Shifts Per Pay Period: 7
Position FTE: 0.375

Lift and transfer commercial pans to and from storage containers.
Lift and transfer heated food storage containers to and from carts, counter tops and vehicles.
Lift and carry meal delivery bags (soft sided coolers).
Read and follow directions provided for the home delivery of prepared meals.
Take temperature readings of food and record on designated sheets at each congregate meal site.
Count and verify that the correct number of meals have been provided.
Communicate with meal site coordinators and Meals on Wheels host site employees.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent competencies, and zero to six months of relevant prior experience. Proven basic arithmetic skills with ability to count and look-up numbered items, or sort times in numerical order. Ability to read and follow written directions.
