Position Summary


The role is responsible for driving capital-raising efforts in the Japan market by building and managing relationships with Securities Firms. Independent Financial Advisors (“IFAs”), and other financial professionals. This position involves educating clients on Walton’s investment offerings, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and executing sales and marketing initiatives to meet performance targets. The successful candidate will deliver presentations, coordinate client events, and maintain a strong understanding of Japan’s financial services industry and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. This role also collaborates with internal teams, supports the development of sales associates, and contributes to the growth of Walton’s global distribution platform in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.


            Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:




  • Educate Securities Firms, IFA’s and other financial advisors and their clients on Walton’s structure, including the benefits and risks of its investment offerings. 

  • Identify, prospect, and establish relationships with potential clients within the assigned territory. 

  • Engage with current and prospective clients through in-person meetings, promoting sales and marketing initiatives while strengthening relationships. 

  • Meet or exceed daily activity targets, including calls, meetings, contacts, and other key performance metrics. 

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate seminars, client events, and due diligence meetings. 

  • Deliver product presentations to large audiences, including virtual/web-based sessions and in-person due diligence meetings. 

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Japan’s financial services industry as well as Walton’s investment structures. 

  • Actively develop and expand relationships with Securities Firms and IFA’s within the Japan market. 

  • Mentor and collaborate with Walton Sales Associates to drive team performance and development. 

  • Ensure full compliance with Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA), and Walton’s GRT internal policies and procedures at all times. 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Walton due diligence materials and project-specific presentations. 

  • Contribute to the growth of Walton’s global capital-raising platform by partnering with leadership and distribution teams to enhance market engagement. 

  • Strengthen long-term investor relationships and expand Walton’s presence across the industry. 

  • Support strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and advancing innovation within capital markets. 

  • Champion Walton’s values while contributing to the continuous improvement of business processes and sustainable growth. 

  • Travel domestically and internationally as required. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 



           Minimum Qualifications:




  • Willing to relocate to our Japan office within 90 days of employment.

  • Licensing requirement as per Japan Market for selling private funds.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling to Securities Firms & IFA’s in Japan 

  • Experience selling alternative real estate strategies or fund offerings 

  • Customer relationship management (CRM) applications

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time

  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales objectives and goals

  • Advanced level of relationship management and interpersonal skills and the ability to strategically and ethically leverage client relationships 

  • Possess and maintain strong market knowledge to provide comprehensive service to clients, develop new solutions, and construct compelling recommendations

  • Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and consumer psychology

  • Professional, strategic, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills 

  • Proactive and performance driven 

  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to adapt easily to changing department needs and dynamics 

  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel 2007) 

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
