Waltex NKY, LLC, a tooling/fixture maker in Walton, KY, is hiring entry-level machinists.
A machinist is a person that can accurately machine parts to print, using a variety of machines and/or methods, relying on his/her skills, obtained through an accredited trade school or from many years of on-the-job experience.
This is not a button-pusher position. We are looking for machinists and not operators.
The tooling/fixturing Waltex manufactures is for major automobile manufacturers’ welding lines. Waltex designs, machines, and fabricates the equipment, then integrates robotic technology. Machinists at Waltex will machine parts that are components of this tooling.
Applicant must be able to read and understand shop blueprints and metric measuring instruments, and have the desire to increase machining skills. New machinists will start out at manual mills. In addition, they must have the desire to cross-train in other areas of the shop, as in basic welding and assembly.
New machinists must act as a team player and work well with others in their department to accomplish production targets. The company expects them to be detail-oriented and self-motivated to take on any kind of work, and to make suggestions to improve efficiency of any work process.
Overtime will be required during times of increased production, including weekend work. Some travel and working on holidays is also required.

Job requirements
