Position Overview
A Mercedes-Benz Service Advisor serves as the vital link between customers and technicians, ensuring seamless communication, exceptional customer service, and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, conducting vehicle intake and recording service needs.
- Listen to customer concerns, ask pertinent diagnostic questions, and translate issues into clear service orders.
- Recommend routine maintenance and repairs (e.g., oil changes, brake services, software updates) while adhering to manufacturer service schedules.
- Collaborate with technicians to monitor job progress and keep customers informed of any changes.
- Prepare and explain detailed repair estimates; discuss and authorize additional services when necessary.
- Coordinate service scheduling, parts ordering, and timely follow-ups to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Document all interactions accurately within the dealership’s CRM and service management systems.
- Uphold Mercedes-Benz standards in customer experience, brand representation, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification is a plus.
- 2 years of prior experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role, preferably in automotive service—luxury segment experience (e.g., Mercedes-Benz) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, parts, and technician communications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering service with integrity and conviction.
- Proficiency in computer systems related to scheduling, parts lookup, and invoicing.
- Valid California driver’s license.
