Position Overview
As a Technician Trainee at the Mercedes-Benz Van Center, you will learn and develop the skills needed to become a certified Mercedes-Benz technician. This entry-level position is designed for motivated individuals eager to begin a career in automotive service. You will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement while assisting experienced technicians in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Mercedes-Benz vans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on Mercedes-Benz vans.
- Learn and apply manufacturer-recommended repair procedures and diagnostic processes.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other entry-level maintenance tasks.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Accurately document services performed and parts used.
- Follow all safety and compliance protocols in the shop.
- Actively participate in training and development programs provided by Mercedes-Benz and Walters Auto Group.
- Deliver excellent customer service by supporting the Service Departments goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or automotive trade school experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions carefully.
- Valid California drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
