Supervisor - Press

Job Summary:

As a Supervisor, Press Operations, you will manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of Press Operations to process jobs quickly, efficiently and economically through the pressroom.

Essential Functions:

• Schedule department workflow to achieve the manufacturing goals of the company.
• Manage staff to meet schedule requirements.
• Manage departmental processes as they impact the "Key Business Indicators".
• Coach, train and motivate all team members.
• Addressissues with the assistance of the operators, through the investigation of problem, cause and resolution.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Walsworth policies and applicable laws.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
• Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based databases.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and move materials weighing between 30 and 75 pounds.
• Must be able to use hands for a variety of repetitive material handling tasks about 90% of an 8-hour shift constantly.
• Kneel and squat to do work on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to constantly stand for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to climb two flights of stairs (about 23 steps) on a frequent basis.
• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.
• May require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.
• May require specific vision abilities that include close vision.
• May be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.
• May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.
• May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate degree in Graphic Arts or a related field and four years experience in print operations or a related function OR
• High School Diploma or GED and six years experience in print operations or a related function.
