Position Summary:
WGI is seeking experienced Watch Officers to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) Intelligence Watch and Coordination Center (IWCC). The Watch Officer provides 24/7/365 all-source analytic support, monitoring, and reporting on emerging threats to the homeland. This role is central to I&A’s mission to equip the Homeland Security Enterprise with timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence to protect the nation.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide 24/7/365 intelligence analysis and situational awareness through rotational shift support within the Intelligence Watch Center.
- Review raw and finished intelligence from the Intelligence Community (IC), DHS components, and federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners to identify indicators and warnings of potential threats.
- Assist in the collection and dissemination of current and relevant intelligence products to enable senior leadership decision-making.
- Conduct analytic exchanges with I&A, the IC, and FSLTTP partners to maintain communications and situational awareness.
- Prepare and deliver briefings and written intelligence products that support situational awareness and decision support for Executive and Cabinet-level audiences.
- Maintain awareness of emerging threats, geopolitical developments, and DHS priorities to inform real-time intelligence reporting.
- May assume Deputy Program Manager (DPM) duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret (SCI eligible) with DHS Suitability.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (preferred in International Studies, Intelligence, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or related discipline) and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in intelligence watch support or related operational analysis.
- Experience with DHS and Intelligence Community data sources and systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and common IC analytic tools.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience within the DHS Intelligence Enterprise or Intelligence Community.
- Knowledge of DHS I&A intelligence authorities, component missions, and I&A’s role in the Homeland Security Enterprise.
- Familiarity with Intel Watch style reporting and warning best practices and IC standards for current intelligence production.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly convey factual information under tight deadlines.
