Construction Detailer (Entry Level)

Walsh Door Security is seeking a Construction Detailer to be part of the team at our Kansas City location. We are

Walsh Door Security is a growing company with 200 Employees and has offices in Des Moines, Iowa City and
Kansas City. This opportunity is a full-time, added position.

Job Description:
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements to prepare accurate schedules for doors,

• Enter costs in the scheduling process and compare to the estimated costs.

• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using manufacturer catalog cut sheets to support the

products selected in the schedule. Prepare required drawings for elevations and corresponding sections
as necessary using company software.

• Review the schedules and submittals for any errors that can affect the project prior to sending the job out

for approval. Extensive training for commercial doors, frames, and hardware will be provided.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• AutoCAD or Revit software experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Detail oriented.

• Must be able to handle multiple projects under a deadline.

• Must have ability to handle large workload, multitask, and maintain a positive attitude.

• “Will do”, trainable, team player type attitude.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and security background check.
