Walsh Door Security is seeking a Commercial Entry Door Installation Technician to service and install
Commercial Entry Doors including hollow metal doors, wood doors, and door hardware. We specialize in
commercial doors, frames, hardware, cameras, and access control systems for projects throughout the nation. If

for you. Walsh Door Security is a growing company with 160 employees and three locations – Des Moines, Iowa
City and Kansas City. This opportunity is a full-time, added position.

Job Description:
• Professionally install and service commercial entry doors. This includes, but is not limited to, installing

hollow metal frames, hollow metal doors, wood doors, and hardware for commercial applications.

• Drive to the job site and complete installation of materials assuring that the daily schedule is complete, and

all installations are finished to the customer’s satisfaction.

• Continue to develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with the product

requirements for installing doors.

• Typical schedule is Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 4:30 pm. Hours WILL VARY depending on workload

and may require 45 – 50 hours per week during peak times.

• Other duties may be assigned.
  

Job Requirements:
• Prefer applicant with 2 years’ experience in carpentry or related construction field.

• The position requires heavy lifting of materials. Frequent to constant standing, lifting, handling, stooping,

walking, carrying, kneeling, seeing, punching, bending and reaching. Ability to safely lift 100 pounds.

• Must be able to read and understand work orders with limited supervision.

• Some travel and overnight stay will be required.

• Must pass a security background check, pre-employment drug screen and fitness test.
