Duties
- Assist with loading, unloading, and materials handling using forklifts and heavy equipment to move stone slabs and fabrication materials safely and efficiently
- Support fabrication processes by preparing materials, setting up machinery, and assisting with cutting, shaping, and finishing stone products using hand tools and power tools
- Operate machinery such as mills, saws under supervision to aid in the creation of custom stone pieces
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by sweeping, cleaning tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Help with assembly tasks for stone installations, including measuring, marking, and preparing materials for delivery or on-site installation
- Assist warehouse staff in managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure smooth workflow
- Follow safety guidelines diligently while working around heavy equipment, machining tools, and construction sites
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or manufacturing environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and machining processes is advantageous
- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus; certification is a benefit but not required
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques related to millwork or stone processing will help you excel in this role
- Warehouse experience or materials handling background supports efficient workflow management
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance or troubleshooting is beneficial but not mandatory
