MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN STONE FABRICATION AND OR INSTALLATION
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Countertop Service Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining stone countertops in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction-related tasks, with experience in fabrication, installation, and finishing processes of stone. Candidates should be comfortable working with various tools and materials, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Install, repair, and service stone countertops with precision and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret shop tickets for customer information and review plans to ensure accurate installation and care of new countertops.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
- Measure spaces accurately to cut and shape stone surfaces according to specifications.
- Perform surface finishing tasks such as caulking, trimming, and sealing to achieve a polished look.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents on-site or during fabrication processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work or remodeling projects is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques for stone or similar materials.
- Knowledge of construction management principles including estimating, inspection, and project coordination is a plus.
- Skills in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and various construction machinery.
- Background in related trades such as carpentry (trim or frame), masonry, plastering, roofing, or flooring installation is advantageous.
- Experience with plumbing or electrical work can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects requiring precision craftsmanship. Pay: $22.77 - $27.42 per hour
