Construction Assistant Estimator

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Estimator to join our Seattle, Washington regional office. In this role, you will be collaborating with the Estimating Team and Project Teams to deliver high-quality pre-project plans. You'll be assisting in the execution of conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting up bid systems for new and returning projects
• Managing and updating the bid solicitation database
• Performing quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding of construction projects.
• Soliciting and developing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Pricing subcontractor, supplier, and self-performed scopes of work.
• Participating in developing accurate, detailed and complete conceptual, preliminary and contract estimates.
• Assisting in bid strategy and estimate presentation.
• Identifying constructability issues through estimating process.
• Tracking and documenting historical data for future estimating process.
• Training under the guidance of the Estimating Team to expand role and responsibilities.

You are qualified if:

• You are a self-motivated, self-starter, able to manage time effectively.
• You have the ability to work with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
• You are highly organized, efficient, detail oriented and accurate.
• You possess communication and people skills.
• You have strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Project, Outlook, Word) and estimating programs.
• You have the ability to read and interpret drawings.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction or a related field.
• You have basic working knowledge of wood frame and concrete multi-family and commercial construction as related to all disciplines and phases of construction.
• You have field experience or experience estimating self-performed or direct work - this is preferred but not required.

Salary range is $75,000 to $95,000 annually.
