Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Master Carpenter with experience in fence building to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience constructing fences, gates, pergolas and related outdoor structures. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Duties
- Construct, wooden fences, gates, pergolas and other custom outdoor structures
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials with precision and attention to detail
- Utilize both hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Operate standard shop machinery, tools and equipment
- Maintain proper stacking, staging, and labeling of materials throughout the production process
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure quality workmanship
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Ensure all work complies with company standards for craftmanship, quality and safety
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience, including at least 1 year of finish or trim carpentry
- Proven experience in fence construction and related outdoor structures
- Strong knowledge of wood types, joinery, and carpentry methods
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Consistent adherence to company policies and safety procedures
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- A strong commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction
