Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, located on-site in Natick, Massachusetts. The Mathematics Teacher will design and implement engaging, student-centered lessons and develop curriculum tailored to learners’ diverse needs. Responsibilities also include assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, collaborating with colleagues, and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for students with a passion for the arts.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mathematics and a strong foundation in Mathematics Education
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, aligned with innovative teaching practices
- Qualified Teacher credentials and the ability to deliver effective instructional strategies
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- A passion for working with adolescent learners and an understanding of the challenges and rewards of working in an arts-focused environment
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful community of learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field is required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- Experience working in an independent school or arts-focused educational environment is a plus
