Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, arts and crafts, and physical activities to support holistic development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children.
- Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and individualized support for children with special needs or early intervention requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, with strong classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning
- Strong understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in early childhood settings.
- Lead teachers must have a CDA Credential or an Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degrees in early childhood education or elementary education.
Pay: $12.50 - $17.00 per hour
