Job Summary
Job Summary
The Information Technology Specialist performs complex duties relating to the installation, maintenance, and support of computer networks and related software and hardware at various sites. Maintains computer data communications networks and performs complex associated technical and support functions. Works at various sites to troubleshoot and address problems with network equipment, workstations, printers, and software. Communicates with District and site support staff on technical issues.

A practical test will be administered during the interview process. Selected candidate will need to clear the fingerprinting background check prior to hire confirmation.
The Walnut Creek School District is located in Northern California in the Bay Area. We operate five K-5 neighborhood elementary schools (three with TK), one K-8 school, and one 6-8 intermediate school. Grades TK-5 are primarily self-contained, while grades 6-8 offer a mixture of core and elective classes. The district serves a population of approximately 3,600 students within the city of Walnut Creek.
