Join Our Maintenance Team!
Walnut Capital is looking for a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Helper to support our maintenance team in keeping our apartment communities clean, safe, and well maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is interested in learning the property maintenance trade.
Every day is different. You'll help maintain the appearance of our communities, assist maintenance technicians, transport supplies, complete light maintenance tasks, and play an important role in creating a great experience for our residents.
What You'll Do
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of apartment communities, parking lots, sidewalks, and common areas.
- Remove litter and debris from the grounds.
- Clean and organize dumpster enclosures.
- Power wash sidewalks, patios, garages, and building exteriors.
- Assist with landscaping and seasonal property cleanup.
- Pick up and deliver maintenance materials, parts, and supplies.
- Restock and maintain ScentAir machines in building lobbies.
- Clean apartment windows prior to resident move-ins.
- Assist maintenance technicians with general labor and maintenance projects.
- Help with apartment lockouts following company procedures.
- Report safety concerns, property damage, or maintenance issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous maintenance or landscaping experience is helpful but not required.
