Job Description

Technology Sales Associate

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Maintains merchandise presentation in the entertainment area by stocking and rotating merchandise; coordinating with third parties (for example, carriers) on merchandise layouts; removing damaged or out-of-date goods; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; signing and pricing merchandise appropriately; and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.

Drives sales, service, and programs in the entertainment area by determining answers to customer questions; providing product and service recommendations to customers; instructing and guiding customers on contracts, product activation or deactivation, warranties, product care plans, and product accessories; staying up-to-date on product features, contracts, special promotions, upgrades, and new products; and collaborating with suppliers to complete training on products and services.

Receives and stocks merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers and organizes and maintains the entertainment area by following company procedures; utilizing equipment appropriately; binning merchandise; and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; a nd applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and r ecommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Inventory: GM - Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways. Tracks goods, maintains in-stock levels, and controls shrinkage in a timely manner. Reports poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area. Uses inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct w ays.

Point of Sale: WMH - Follows proper procedures to prevent shrink and follows applicable laws and regulations when selling items to customers.
Assists customers with payment methods, return policies, and location of items when asked. Uses the cash register and completes customers sales i n a timely manner. Reports complaints, shrink sales, and problems with products, services, and work areas.

Technology - Follows proper procedures to prevent theft when displaying, securing, and showing entertainment items. Actively engages customers, and assists them with entertainment services and items. Receives and displays entertainment products and helps customers with their technology needs in a timely manner. Reports customer issues, security risks, shrink opportunities, and problems with entertainment products, services, and w ork areas. Keeps entertainment equipment and displays in working order and organizes technology products in correct ways.

Uses policies and information in order to exceed customer/member expectations. G rasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Visually verifies information, often in small print.

Reads information, often in small print.

Visually locates merchandise and other objects.

V isually inspects equipment.

R eaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

M oves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Work Environment
W orking in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.

Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets.

Works overnight as required.

W orks varying shifts as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
