Job Description

Traffic Clerk (Friday-Sunday 5am-5pm)

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).

Provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., cleaning, inspecting, changing paper and toner).

Provides administrative support by performing general clerical duties (for example, filing, keying, faxing); entering data into multiple systems; scheduling appointments and maintaining appointment logs; and preparing, reviewing, maintaining, and analyzing reports, purchase orders (PO) and other paperwork.

Monitors and processes deliveries by scheduling and maintaining log of delivery appointments; checking-in and releasing drivers; tracking late deliveries; and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing reports and other paperwork.

Prepares, reviews, and analyzes receiving/billing documentation and reports by verifying delivery bills and receiving documentation; researching and resolving discrepancies; completing necessary paperwork for shipping/receiving process (for example, outbound bills, inbound drop trailer paperwork, purchase orders); and ensuring backup documentation.

Physical Activities
The following physical activities are necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.

Moves up and down stairs.

Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Visually verifies information, often in small print.

Reads information, often in small print.

Visually locates merchandise and other objects.

Visually inspects equipment.

Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Observe behavior of others (i.e., associates, customers, suppliers).

Walk within work area for extended periods of time.

Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device.

Differentiate sounds in order to inspect and maintain equipment, identify potential hazards, or recognize safety alarms.

Write documents, reports, etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer.

Work Environment
Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.

May work with substances that require special handling

Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.

Work indoors for extended periods of time.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months experience performing Logistics clerical related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) using computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheet, word processing) OR 1 year's experience performing clerical related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) using computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheet, word processing).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.90 per hour
