Retail Inventory Team Member

At Wally’s, The Home of the Great American Road Trip, our Retail Inventory Team Members help keep the store stocked, organized, and ready for guests at all times. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, working hands-on, and making sure products are in the right place so guests can quickly find what they need.

In this position, you’ll receive shipments, stock shelves, rotate merchandise, build displays, organize back stock, and help maintain a clean, easy-to-shop sales floor. This is also a guest-facing role, so we’re looking for someone who is approachable, helpful, and ready to deliver great hospitality while supporting inventory operations.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, unpack, and stock incoming merchandise accurately and efficiently

• Rotate product using FIFO standards to support freshness and quality

• Replenish shelves, coolers, and displays to keep the store fully stocked and guest-ready

• Organize back stock and maintain accurate inventory records

• Assist with inventory counts and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies

• Build and maintain displays, promotional features, and seasonal resets

• Keep shelves clean, organized, labeled, and visually appealing

• Help create a clean, welcoming, and easy-to-shop retail environment

• Greet guests on the sales floor, answer questions, and help them find products

• Work closely with store leadership and other departments to support smooth daily operations

• Stay alert for theft concerns and use strong guest service and awareness on the sales floor

• Follow safety procedures when lifting, stocking, and moving merchandise

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Related experience in stocking, retail, inventory, warehouse, merchandising, or customer service is helpful

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Able to follow written and verbal instructions

• Basic math skills and attention to detail

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks

• Comfortable using basic computer programs such as word processing and spreadsheets

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Use hands, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed

• Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds

• Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds

• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
