Job Overview
Immediate opening for an experienced precast concrete foreman to lead our team in the production of precast concrete products and prefabricated concrete buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established growing team to contribute your expertise in producing high quality products.
Duties
- overseeing and managing all activities pertaining to concrete product production and completion of prefabricated concrete buildings
- coordinate with team members and provide proper techniques and materials
- supervise the setup, pouring, and finishing of concrete for various applications, including production of precast concrete products and buildings
- maintain a safe and clean worksite, following all safety guidelines
- delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing overall guidance
- inspecting concrete after the formwork and shoring have been removed and instructing concrete laborers on how to correct defects
- request material needed for scope of work
- read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications as required and check work according to specifications
- ordering materials when needed, managing tools and equipment for the concrete laborers, overseeing the equipment and truck maintenance
- resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion
- must be able to stand, stoop, bend and crouch for extended periods of time
- must be able to lift 50 lbs, carry forms
- work outside in various weather conditions
Skills
- proven experience as a Precast Concrete Worker or Foreman, with skills in building construction with at least 3 years previous experience in the concrete industry
- strong knowledge of concrete materials, tools, and techniques
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications
- leadership skills with a team-oriented attitude
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- outstanding organizational and time management skills
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- commercial driver's license preferred
- bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
- minimal travel
