Title: OSP Engineer/Designer
Location: New Hampshire - Onsite
This role focuses on Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering, specifically for fiber network design, including FTTP (Fiber to the Premises), HiCap circuits, BAU (Business-As-Usual) work, and pole fielding activities in New Hampshire.
What the Candidate Will Do
Design OSP telecom networks including aerial, underground, and buried fiber routes.
Work on FTTP, 5G, HiCap, BAU and other telecom engineering projects.
Perform field surveys to verify conditions, capture measurements, inspect poles, assess feasibility, and validate designs.
Create fiber work orders, route plans, cable sizing, construction notes, and permitting documentation.
Use tools like AutoCAD, MS Office, and OSP planning tools (NetCracker, FiberBase, GIS platforms).
collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and construction teams.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently.
Provide daily progress updates and communicate clearly across teams.
Key Skills Required
Strong knowledge of OSP fiber and copper design (aerial, UG, buried, manholes, conduit).
Experience working on BAU, FTTP, and HiCap OSP projects.
Understanding of F1/F2 fiber distribution networks.
Field experience in pole loading, field collection, and mapping.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and OSP design tools.
Great communication, analytical ability, and independent work ethic.
