Electrical Cable Associate
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-12 months)

Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Cable Associate to join our operations team. This hands-on role involves spooling, evaluating, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical cables to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to meet changing operational demands and delivery targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Required: Valid driver's license
Key Responsibilities
Cable Operations & Quality Control:
- Accurately count and document cable lengths during spooling operations
- Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized diagnostic equipment
- Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables and connectors to restore full functionality
- Conduct cable splicing and termination following established procedures to ensure secure and reliable connections
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Follow proper handling procedures for both low-voltage and high-voltage cable systems
Documentation & Collaboration:
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results
- Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet scheduled deadlines
- Communicate effectively regarding project status, issues, and requirements
Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
- Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure optimal working condition
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3 years of proven experience as an electrical cable technician or in a similar technical role
- Knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage systems is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cable spooling, counting, evaluation, splicing, and termination techniques
- Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools including multimeters, cable testers, and Hi-Pot equipment
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and industry best practices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and cables
- Comfortable working on feet for extended periods throughout the shift
- Capable of working in various environmental conditions
