Primary Purpose:
Maintain district vending machines by loading, unloading, transporting, and stocking vending machines with food or beverages; service vending machines.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Valid Texas driver’s license
High School Diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to use maps and global positioning systems (GPS) to locate addresses and determine efficient routes for delivery
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Experience:
One year experience in delivery preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Delivery & Vending
- Manage and oversee vending route
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle, equipment, and work area in accordance with applicable regulations and district standards.
- Services vending machines by taking inventory, refilling and/or changing products
- Submit orders to supervisor based on product inventory.
- Collects money from machines when needed and drops it off at supervisor’s office
- Routinely check machines for proper operation and makes repairs as needed
- Loads and unloads route vehicle
Records
- Maintain accurate records of items picked up and delivered.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
Safety
- Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in safe operating condition and schedule routine maintenance and repairs.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to the supervisor.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Other
- Prepare and maintain accurate written records of services provided.
- Work with a supervisor to complete projects.
