We are currently seeking a Rail Loader to join the team! Love working with cars? Have mechanical or rail experience?
Mon-Fri: 6am-2:30pm
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare railcars for shipment (open/close doors, set bridge plates, clean, chock vehicles).
- Load/unload vehicles onto railcars following company quality and customer standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs, including welding and metal cutting.
- Maintain equipment and railcars (lubricate parts, graphite door tracks, inspect and paint bridge plates).
- Operate heavy equipment safely on and off railcars.
- Read and follow departmental SOPs.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Must be able to work in all-weather conditions
- Previous rail department or mechanical experience preferred
- Physically able to safely lift 50lbs at shoulder level
- Able to work within the confined spaces of a railcar and work at heights of 20 feet 2 inches
- Being able to work as part of a team
