As an Operations Manager, a key member of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen management team, you will be responsible for the operation in our fast-paced Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Inspire change through communication at all impacted levels
- Lead continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost efficient work environment that meets performance targets
- Ensure that adequate training and tools are provided to all employees
- Evaluate and establish operating procedures
- Ensure that workplace safety standards are met
- Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors, business associates and employees
- Ensure that supervisory staff is cross-trained in multiple functions, and embraces a team-oriented approach to problem solving
- Develop, motivate and train all levels of employees for their professional development and future growth
Job Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 5-7 years in planning and directing operations
- Skill at interpreting diagrams and repair manuals
- Understand revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results
- SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications
- Clean driving record, ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
Note-this role requires the flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays
