As an Accessory Installer, you'll be an integral part of our team, working with vehicles produced by some of the most well-known automotive and heavy equipment manufacturers in the world. This means, you may be among the first to see and work with the latest vehicles and technology hitting the roads!
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Working for Wallenius Wilhelmsen, a premier logistics partner to auto and heavy equipment manufacturers, you'll:
- Install accessories on vehicles such as:
- Lighted running boards, illuminated kick plates, step-rails, splash guards, decals, electrical and other accessories specified by the customer
Job Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, drills, fastener and basic automotive electrical systems to accurately install vehicle accessories
- A current valid driver's license and good driving record
- The ability to follow detailed written instructions for accessory installation
- A willingness to walk and stand for much of your day
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Physical ability:
- Frequent lifts and carrying of up to 50 pounds for distances of 50 feet, including overhead lifting
- Climbing to and working at heights of up to 15 feet
- Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to fasten, insert, and remove bolts, machine parts and pins, operate and withstand impact, vibration of electric and air-powered power tools
This position is represented by Teamsters Local 495. Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Starting pay for this position: $32.77 per hour.
