Reports To: Shift Lead / Store Manager / Owner

Position Summary

At Wallace Chicken, our team members are the heart of the operation. As a Team Member, you’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling our signature meals with consistency, speed, and care. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while delivering the high standards that keep guests coming back. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow with a company built to win.

Team Member salary starts at $16.50 pending three month probationary period after which raises will take place.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble food items to Wallace Chicken standards
• Operate and troubleshoot the POS system, ensure accurate order entry, and monitor cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across all kitchen stations (prep, breading, fryer, assembly, etc.)
• Safely operate kitchen equipment including fryers, slicers, grills, and warmers
• Stock, rotate, and manage inventory to ensure fresh, ready-to-serve food
• Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks and closing/opening checklists
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient service and smooth handoffs
• Adapt quickly to changing needs, customer orders, and rush periods
• Uphold all company rules, including dress code, safety standards, and behavior expectations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior quick service restaurant experience a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move freely around the kitchen
• Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Basic math skills (making change, measuring ingredients, counting inventory)
• Able to read and follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Reliable and punctual with strong time management habits
• Clear verbal communication and a positive, respectful attitude
• Able to work in a team and receive constructive feedback
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
