Job Summary
The Workforce Navigator serves as the primary student case manager for students and graduates interested in workforce training programs. This position helps students identify career and training goals, connects them with appropriate non-credit and credit programs, and tracks their progress from enrollment through job placement. The Workforce Navigator builds clear pathways between workforce training and credit-bearing programs, provides wraparound support services, and collaborates with the Career Services Specialist to prepare students for employment. The role requires strong relationship-building with students, instructors, and employers to ensure smooth transitions into further education or the workforce.
Minimum Qualifications
Serve as the primary contact for students and graduates, assessing their skills, interests, and goals to recommend appropriate workforce training pathways.
Provide individualized case management, including academic and career guidance, barrier resolution, and referrals to support services.
Manage Salesforce (TargetX and Engage) data entry and maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and reports for compliance and program tracking.
Track student progress through training programs, credit transitions, and employment outcomes.
Develop and maintain clear workforce-to-credit articulation pathways to support continuing education opportunities.
Collaborate with Career Services to support rsum development, mock interviews, job readiness training, and job placement efforts.
Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and partner agencies to expand career opportunities and support industry engagement.
Participate in outreach events, career fairs, and marketing efforts, and collaborate with instructors and CCWD staff to ensure students have the resources needed to succeed.

- Experience in adult education, case management, advising, and/or student supportive services **required**.
- Must have effective interpersonal skillsdemonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment to career developmentand the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with individuals of diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
- Possess knowledge of career pathways, workforce training programs, labor-market trends, and Wallace State Community College/Alabama Community College System policies and procedures.

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, required, or directed by the College. The College reserves the right to assign additional tasks and to alter or reassign job duties as necessary to meet business and operational needs.
