Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role, located in Hanceville, AL, for a Strategic Communications Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and managing strategic communication initiatives, including drafting press releases, developing corporate communications materials, and coordinating public affairs efforts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a consistent organizational message across all communication platforms and collaborating with different departments to ensure alignment within the college’s communication strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Communication and Strategic Communications to develop cohesive messaging and execute communication strategies effectively.
- Experience in creating Press Releases, crafting Corporate Communications, and managing Public Affairs to maintain a positive institutional image.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and departments to ensure consistent and aligned messaging.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Experience in higher education communications or public sector communications is a plus.
