What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROJECT ENGINEER - Water Resources position at Wallace Montgomery?
Wallace Montgomery is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer, with at least 7 years of professional experience, to work in our Hunt Valley, Maryland office. This individual will be exposed to a variety of project types, including transportation related water resources design, MS4, TMDL, bridge hydraulics, floodplain modeling, etc. As a Project Engineer, you may be assigned complex projects, will provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for diverse clients across the mid-Atlantic region. Essential Functions: include the following.
- Provide supervision of technical work performed by others.
- Coordinate technical work among departments.
- Perform duties necessary to develop design documents, studies and/or reports in accordance with appropriate standards.
- Serve as client contact.
- Assist in the coordination of subconsultant activities.
- Participate in presentations such as public meetings.
- Monitor compliance with scope of work.
- Implement quality control / quality assurance procedures.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets. Initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Perform/monitor project filing and archiving to ensure project records are maintained in accordance with company policies.
- Provide training and guidance to others.
- Monitor current design trends/methodologies related to their area of expertise to ensure that the company remains up to date with software, training needs and similar issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Could assist Partners and VPs on projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
- Professional Engineering License required
- 5-10 years' experience
- Maryland SHA and local County experience preferred.
Salary : $55 - $65
