What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2027 Structural Summer Internship position at Wallace Design Collective?
Brief Description
At Wallace Design Collective, we are structural engineers, civil engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors who believe great design starts with exceptional collaboration. We don’t just engineer buildings; we partner with architects, owners, and contractors to bring complex, visionary spaces to life.
We operate in a dynamic, creative environment where curiosity is celebrated, mentorship is built into the daily routine, and every team member’s voice matters. As an intern, you won't spend your summer doing busywork—you’ll be integrated directly into active project teams, tackling real structural engineering challenges alongside seasoned professionals.
As a Structural Summer Intern, you will work side-by-side with our structural engineering team on real commercial, educational, healthcare, and residential projects across the country. You will get hands-on experience using industry-standard analysis and modeling software, assisting in structural design calculations, and learning the practical mechanics of how buildings go from concepts on paper to standing structures.
Hourly Rate: $18.25 - $25.00 per hour
