General Responsibilities
The Kids College Instructor delivers engaging, hands-on STEM and technical learning experiences for
students age 9--13 during seasonal Kids College sessions at Walla Walla Community College. Courses
emphasize curiosity, creativity, and real-world career connections through age-appropriate, experiential
learning.
Instructors support the College's mission by fostering a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
and by collaborating with co-instructors, classroom assistants, program staff, WWCC Workforce and
Nursing/Allied Health faculty, and community or industry partners. Instructional depth is appropriate for
middle school learners, and instructors demonstrate enthusiasm, curiosity, and the ability to translate
STEM and technical concepts for students ages 9--13.
