Job Overview
The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in Big Data technologies like Cloudera, Python, HQL, Java/PySpark.
- Knowledge on Machine Learning, AI would be added advantage
- Experience in systems analysis, data analysis and programming of software applications
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Own end‑to‑end Databricks Lakehouse architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) for on‑prem to cloud migration
- Define migration strategy, data modelling standards, and governance controls (DQ, lineage, audit, reconciliation)
- Design secure, compliant cloud architecture including RBAC, encryption, and resilience patterns
- Optimize platform for performance, cost, and enterprise scalability
- Enable regulatory reporting, analytics, and AI/ML foundations; provide technical leadership and design sign‑off
