Business Analyst – Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance (E&S Focus)
Job Summar
yWe are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise, specifically in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines. The ideal candidate will work closely with underwriting, product, compliance, and technology teams to gather requirements, support system enhancements, and ensure regulatory and business alignment across E&S insurance products
.Key Responsibilitie
- sAct as a Business Analyst for P&C insurance applications, with a strong focus on E&S products (Commercial, Specialty, Non-Admitted lines)
- .Work closely with underwriters, brokers, actuaries, and compliance teams to capture business requirements
- .Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and functional requirements
- .Support policy administration systems, rating engines, claims, billing, and underwriting platforms
- .Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, BRDs, and FRDs
- .Collaborate with development and QA teams during design, development, testing, and UAT phases
- .Ensure compliance with E&S regulatory requirements, including non-admitted rules and state-specific filings
- .Assist in product configuration, rule changes, and enhancements for E&S lines
- .Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, grooming, demos) or Waterfall SDLC as required
- .Support production issues, change requests, and post-implementation reviews
.Required Skills & Experienc
- eStrong P&C Insurance domain experience (mandatory)
- .Hands-on E&S (Excess & Surplus) insurance experience (mandatory)
- .Solid understanding of
- :Underwriting workflow
- sPolicy lifecycle (Quote → Bind → Issue → Endorse → Renew → Cancel
- )Rating, forms, and compliance for E&S product
- sExperience with policy administration systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar)
- .Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
- .Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects of E&S / non-admitted insurance
- .Excellent communication and analytical skills
