Opportunity:
The Wall Las Memorias seeks a fundraiser that will support fundraising efforts, donor relations, and development initiatives to advance the organization’s mission. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director to develop fundraising campaigns and involves assisting with donor cultivation, event planning, grant writing, and database management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about nonprofit development and relationship-building. The Wall Las Memorias Project focuses on social justice community organizing; HIV / AIDS and other STI prevention, education, and testing projects, and mental health and substance abuse services. Mission: The Wall-Las Memorias Project is a community health and wellness organization dedicated to serving Latino, LGBTQ and other underserved populations through advocacy, education and building the next generation of leadership.
Key Job Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Fundraising & Donor Engagement: Assist in identifying, cultivating, and stewarding donors and partners. Maintain donor relationships through personalized communication and engagement strategies.
- Grant Writing & Reporting: Research grant opportunities, assist in writing proposals, and track reporting deadlines to ensure timely submission and compliance.
- Event Planning & Execution: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics, sponsorship outreach, and post-event follow-ups.
- Database & Records Management: Maintain accurate donor records using CRM software, track contributions, and generate reports to support development goals.
- Marketing & Communications: Assist in creating development materials, including newsletters, annual reports, donor appeals, and social media content.
- Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals. Provide support to senior development staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, securing grants and nonprofit experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in grant writing.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with donors, partners, and internal teams.
- Passion for the organization’s mission and commitment to advancing its fundraising efforts

- Possession of a valid California driver’s license
- Possession of automobile liability insurance
- Available personal transportation
- Livescan fingerprint and TB test required
