Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for the fabrication and joining of metal parts in an aerospace environment using Tig/Mig welding techniques.
- Create quality welds according to provided routers.
- Ensure all equipment is properly set up & used in safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
- Diagnose & troubleshoot equipment that affects quality, productivity, or safety.
- Inspect and identify weld imperfections.
- Identify weld wire and electrode identifiers.
- Read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings.
- Adhere to standards and procedures regarding traceability.
- Ability to read and understand instructions for quality and safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School degree or equivalent
- 1-year professional work experience and/or training
- Proficiency in understanding and recognizing weld symbols with basic understanding of welding terminology
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- AWS D17.1 qualified on one or two basic materials (e.g., stainless or aluminum).
- Can perform tack welds and basic fusion welds under supervision.
