What are the responsibilities and job description for the AutoCAD Drafter / Designer position at Walkin Technologies LLC?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to join our team. In this role, you will transform concepts, sketches, and specifications into precise technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and related design software. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers/project managers to ensure all designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Creating and modifying detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project specifications.
Collaboration with engineers and other stakeholders to interpret design intent and incorporate feedback.
Ensuring accuracy by reviewing and revising drawings to meet project standards, codes, and regulations.
Incorporating details such as dimensions, materials, tolerances, and construction methods into drawings.
Maintaining organized documentation of all drawings, revisions, and related technical data.
Updating existing designs as new information or project changes arise.
Stay current with AutoCAD software updates, drafting standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or certification in drafting, design technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
At least 3 years’ experience in AutoCAD design or other relevant role(s).
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D); experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit) is a plus.
Strong understanding of drafting standards and technical documentation.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, and manufacturing drawings.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Electrical design experience is not required but is considered a valuable credential.

Pay: $75,026.40 - $90,000.00 per year
