QA Tech (Walkers)

Job Function:

To ensure that the products that the company produces meet the quality, safety, and legal requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities:

· Under general direction, plan and organize daily activity of assigned area.

· Follow through on set processes and procedures to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, FDA, USDA requirements.

· Ensure that the work descriptions are followed.

· Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting qualitative and quantitative results of products including alerting out of compliance results.

· Assist on administering Company's quality program which may include Sensory evaluation, maintain sample retain library, internal audits, customer complaint, conduct environmental sampling, label review among others.

· Participate in raw materials, finished goods hold/release.

· Maintain production records, including storage and organization.

· Identify unsafe conditions/behaviors and take action to resolve.

· Perform post-cleaning and sanitation inspections.

· Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or associate in science food science preferred or equivalent experience of Minimum of two years of related work experience.

· Minimum two years of work experience in food industry.

· Knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards.

· Strong knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)

· Spanish is a plus but no required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Able to adjust the schedule as needed.

· Lifting and bending as needed. Exposure to cool/cold environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
