What You'll Do
As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll play a key role in installing and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC and sheet metal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, and maintain sheet metal ductwork and related systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components for installation
- Install commercial and industrial HVAC duct systems according to plans and industry standards
- Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and fellow tradespeople to maintain project schedules
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety requirements
- Identify and resolve installation challenges in the field
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of sheet metal experience, preferably in commercial or industrial construction
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial HVAC duct installation experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with fabrication and layout of sheet metal systems
- Knowledge of commercial construction and mechanical systems
