We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service. The position will be working directly with contractors and other customers to take and follow up on lumber, doors, windows, and other miscellaneous orders. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.
Major Task and Responsibilities:
- Sell Lumber and Building Materials
- Assist the sales floor
- Other task as assigned
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
- Cross-sell products
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role preferred but not required
- Experience in lumber/building material sales
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- High school degree
