Walker Pharmacy is looking for a Part-Time Pharmacist join our team in the Fall of 2026! Approx. 10-20 hours per week additional PRN availability. Very limited weekend work (closed on Sundays and less than 6 Saturday shifts per year!).

Description of duties:
Under the indirect supervision of ownership and upper management, the Staff Pharmacist oversees all aspects of the pharmacy operations at a single location during their shifts, including patient services, administration, and personnel supervision. The Staff Pharmacist provides a full range of patient-centered services including filling prescriptions, counseling patients, and managing associated personnel and programs. The Staff Pharmacist ensures that the pharmacy is in compliance with any and all federal and state laws, professional standards, and company policies. He/She also ensures that all staff follows applicable rules, policies, and procedures. This job requires extensive subject matter knowledge, expertise, and commitment.
The position of Staff Pharmacist includes a variety of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
1.) Responsible for the operations and oversight of all matters occurring within the pharmacy, including but not limited to pharmacy security and safe work habits.
2.) Monitors for the overall performance of all staff members to ensure compliance with policies, practices, and approved pharmaceutical dispensing processes.
3.) Ensures that all pharmacy and employee licenses, certificates and paperwork are up-to-date and valid. This is to be reported to the Company Compliance Officer and Ownership.
4.) Maintains established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance, security/inventory of controlled substances, and record keeping.
5.) Oversees the training and ongoing coaching of team members (technicians and clerks).
6.) Assist with administering the performance management process, including annual reviews, merit increases, demotions, and appropriate corrective action for all staff members.
7.) Identify and deal with personnel issues in a proactive and timely manner, with appropriate follow-up as needed.
8.) Manage and monitor all labor expenses, including the assessment of weekly schedules for the staff to ensure the pharmacy has enough help but is not over-staffed.
9.) Ensure adherence to applicable laws, including, without limitation, wage and hour and equal employment opportunity laws, for hourly team members.
10.) Handle and process employee and customer complaints and grievances and use independent judgment and discretion to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive, healthy work environment for team members. Communicate any problems with ownership.
11.) Take all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals.
12.) Assists with and responds in a courteous and professional manner to questions from customers and physicians in regards to knowledge of prescription and health related products and issues.
13.) Offers advice and professional consultation; acts as a role model to the pharmacy team; efficiently handles customer complaints; and directs pharmacy operations to keep wait times to a minimum.
14.) Provides excellent customer service, driving pharmacy revenue by ensuring pharmacy team members provide a consistent high-quality patient experience.
15.) Perform all other duties assigned.

Experience:
1.) Bachelor’s or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Individuals in this role must be able to stand for excessive amounts of time to complete essential duties. Reaching over shoulder heights, below the waste, and lifting products throughout the work day may be required. Proper lifting technique is required. May on occasion be asked to lift and move up to 50 pounds for materials, samples, reports, etc.
