Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Stamping Press Setup Operator to join our team on second shift. As a Stamping Press Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating stamping press machines according to specifications. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate stamping press machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine specifications
- Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
- Position workpieces against stops or guides on machine bed or on die
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, stroke length, and back gauge position
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality production
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as required
Requirements:
-Must have 3-5 years of stamping press setup experience.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurements
- This is a 2nd shift position. Hours are Monday thru Friday 2:30pm to 11pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
