Key Account Manager - Automotive OEM
Location: Taylor, Michigan
Salary: Up to $130,000 car allowance bonus

The Opportunity
As Key Account Manager, you'll have full responsibility for a portfolio of automotive OEM accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for both the customer and internal teams.
You'll manage every aspect of the customer relationship, from quality concerns and technical support through to logistics, supply and commercial activities. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and operations, you'll ensure customer requirements are met while identifying opportunities to strengthen long-term partnerships and grow existing business.
Experience working with Ford and/or General Motors is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of assigned OEM customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across purchasing, engineering, quality and manufacturing teams.
- Manage all aspects of the customer relationship, including quality issues, customer service, logistics, supply and technical support.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing and technical teams to resolve customer issues and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure products are delivered on time by working collaboratively with operations and supply chain teams.
- Lead customer escalations through to successful resolution.
- Develop and implement account plans that support sales growth and profitability.
- Maintain customer portals and support product approvals, launches and ongoing programs.
- Identify opportunities to grow business within existing customer accounts.
- Ensure compliance with OEM processes, including PPAP, APQP and customer-specific requirements.
About You
You'll already have experience managing automotive OEM customer accounts within a Tier 1 supplier and understand the demands of supporting complex manufacturing programs.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience managing automotive OEM customer accounts, ideally with Ford and/or General Motors.
- A strong understanding of automotive manufacturing and customer requirements.
- Experience managing customer relationships across quality, engineering, logistics and supply chain functions.
- Knowledge of automotive processes including PPAP and APQP.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting account growth.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
