What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Engineering position at Walker Elliott?
Walker Elliott is partnering with a highly respected Houston-based upstream investment firm seeking a Vice President of Engineering to play a lead role in evaluating and marketing oil and gas assets across the Lower 48. This position combines reserves engineering, asset valuation, client interaction, and transaction execution, while mentoring junior team members and working alongside experienced land and geoscience professionals.
Estimated cash comp will target $500K.
Ideal candidates will bring strong upstream valuation experience, advanced ARIES or PHDWin skills, and the ability to translate technical analysis into compelling client presentations.
Prior A&D advisory, investment banking, or reserves consulting experience is preferred. That said, the firm is also open to considering high-performing Reservoir Engineers from operators who have developed strong economic and valuation skills and are interested in transitioning into the transaction side of the business. This could be an opportunity to gain exposure to deals across multiple basins and asset classes while building a long-term career in the investment/banking space.
