GIS / Geospatial Analyst - Upstream Energy

Walker Elliott is working with growing, high-performing upstream company looking to add a GIS professional to their team in the corporate office in MN (relocation available).

This is not a back-office mapping role - this position sits close to the business and directly supports acquisitions, asset strategy, and leadership decision-making. If you've been looking for a role that blends GIS data strategy - this is worth a conversation.

This is not just GIS, but strategic high-impact tech-forward role.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct exposure to A&D activity and executive-level decisions
  • Opportunity to work with modern data platforms (including Palantir Foundry)
  • Lean team, high visibility, real ownership, and impact
  • Strong collaboration with Land, Engineering, Geology, and BD teams
  • Access to a growing tech-forward GIS ecosystem outside traditional O&G hubs:
  • Own and manage geospatial data across a multi-basin portfolio
  • Build mapping and analytics tools to support deal evaluation and development planning
  • Develop automations around ownership and land data

Qualifications:

  • 3 years GIS experience (ArcGIS / ESRI stack)
  • Strong data management and spatial analysis skills
  • Oil & gas exposure is a plus, not required
