This position supports safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations by managing environmental programs, facility assets, regulatory reporting, and maintenance initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Environmental Compliance
- Ensure contractors comply with site safety and environmental requirements.
- Participate in emergency response planning and incident investigations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and environmental stewardship
- Lead capital improvement projects from concept through completion.
- Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, justifications, and funding requests.
- Coordinate contractors, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
- Track project milestones, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, efficiency, ergonomics, and environmental performance.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and EHS teams to resolve facility and environmental issues.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic technology of area where assigned.
- Analytical ability for solving complex problems.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental practices.
- Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, RCRA, SPCC, stormwater, wastewater, and air permit regulations.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes in responsibility based on business needs.
- Experience managing contractors, facility projects, and maintenance programs.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and organizational skills.
