About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Sales Manager with a strong background in the Ethnic FMCG category to drive business growth across North America, and the Caribbean region. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in ethnic food/FMCG sales, distributor management, key account handling, and regional business expansion.
This role requires a commercially driven leader who can manage strategic customer relationships, lead regional sales initiatives, and drive revenue growth while managing a small sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth and business expansion across North America and Caribbean markets.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, importers, and key accounts.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand product penetration within ethnic FMCG categories.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, promotions, trade schemes, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to support business planning.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, ensuring performance delivery and capability building.
- Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and performance analytics for leadership review.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, distributor meets, and industry events.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 8 years of relevant US sales experience within the FMCG industry.
- Mandatory experience in Ethnic FMCG categories
- Strong exposure to international/regional sales across North America and Caribbean markets will be an advantage.
- Proven track record in distributor management and key account sales.
- Experience managing teams and driving regional business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong understanding of ethnic retail channels, distributors, and FMCG market dynamics in the US.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with strong business ownership capabilities.
