PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
On-Air Host and Donor Care Specialist is responsible for handling audio production for on-air content, and additional responsibilities that prep for on air shift. The Donor Care Specialist is responsible for helping with all things donor care and content from on air to web.
SCOPE
The On Air Host reports to the General Manager and facilitates the technical operation of their on air shift along with being coached and growing in this role.
The Donor Care Specialist reports to the General Manger and facilitates all aspects of helping our donors feel loved and valued and planning and executing events that show appreciation to our donors.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and produce audio for on air shift.
Main activities:
- Be live On Air during specified time slot unless approved by GM
- Identify and save breaks to be used for future replays, maintain archive of sound
- Manage the content and planning on air shift with content, bench marks and striving for on air listener interaction
- . Represent the station at all required or requested events as On Air Host. Absence from said events must be approved by GM in advance.
2. Donor Care
Main activities:
- Build relationships with donors to make sure we are showing gratitude for their gifts.
- Assist in content creating (ex. Social Media Posts, Scripts for audio and video, etc).
- Assist in listener engagement (to help plan and execute events along with connecting to our listeners at local ministry events).
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. General office assistance
Main activities:
- Answer phone as required
- Meet with tour groups
- Be in office from 6:00am to 2:30pm unless approved by GM
2. Additional Production work
Main activities:
- Voice spots for underwriting for WalkFM/PAR as requested
- Voice holiday or special occasion greetings
- Assist with production of underwriting spots or imaging as requested
- Help with writing copy or imaging as requested
- Be available for station video content as requested
- Perform other related duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The On Air Host and Community Services Coordinator will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and
computers, which can cause muscle strain. The On Air Host and Community Services Coordinator will also have to do
some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

(The nature of adverse environmental conditions affecting the incumbent)
The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant
interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
Sensory Demands
(The nature of demands on the incumbent’s senses)
The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend
long hours on the computer entering financial information during FC which requires attention to detail and
high levels of accuracy.

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
